At an auction of contemporary art house Sotheby's hundred kilograms of seeds handmade porcelain, part installation, the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, were sold for 563.8 thousand dollars. Auction held in London on the evening of February 15. As told to Bloomberg representative Sotheby's, lot included a hundred thousand seeds, so the buyer paid for the 5.6 dollar per share. Lot was purchased by an unknown buyer, who participated in the auction on the internet. As reported at Sotheby's, the auction brought a total 71.7 million dollars. Top-lot auction began painting by Gerhard Richter entitled "Abstract Painting", sold for 11.63 million dollars. Also among the most expensive paintings hit the work of Andy Warhol "Nine multicolored Marilyn" (5.17 million dollars). One of the surprises the auction was the sale of sculptures of Spanish artist Juan Muñoz's "Conversation", sold for 4.9 million dollars at the upper bound estimate of 1,2 million.
