Croatian Ministry of Defence has invited Russian experts to assess the possibility of upgrading fighter standing on the arms of the country, reports the Croatian Times. Now armed with Croatia are 18 MiG-21, only ten of which are to operate. War Department is planning to modernize eight aircraft, which are used for more than 30 years. According to the Ministry of Defence of Croatia, the only producer of these fighters can assess their suitability for modernization. Currently, plans call for cancellation of the MiG-21 in 2013.
