It was planned that the first strike will begin the evening of May 16 and will end at noon the next day, and it is followed by five more protests lasting from nine to 24 hours – May 18-19, May 20, June 13-14, June 15-16, and 17 June. RMT claims that the two driver's subway – Eamon Lynch and Arvin Thomas – were previously dismissed because of their union activities and participation in campaigns aimed at improving traffic safety. Management Company London Underground Transport for London denies the allegations. Former employees have challenged his dismissal through the Labour Tribunal, which ruled reinstated Lynch, in the case of Thomas is the prospect of a positive decision before his trial tribunal. In this light, the union confirmed the decision to postpone the planned strike. "The essence of the dispute from the outset was to achieve justice for our employees who have been unfairly dismissed … As a result, we agreed to postpone the protest, to enable further discussions next week" – said RMT general secretary Bob Crow.
