Single day of the Russian language is carried out in 2011 on the initiative of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev annually on the birthday of poet Alexander Pushkin's June 6. In turn, the United Nations on this day declared International Day for the Russian language as official language of the UN. As the Vesti.Az, the event will be attended by Russian Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin, Bishop of Baku and the Caspian Sea, Alexander, MPs, representatives of the Ministry of Education, the management of secondary schools in Baku and regions of the country. The event will be awarded the winners of the Olympics in the Russian language and literature among students in schools with the Russian sector of education, the Olympics in the Russian language and literature in schools – the project participants in-depth study of the Russian language in Azerbaijan's schools, as well as rewarding schools – winners of the project "Pushkiniana ", which was held from the beginning of the year. All in all competitions and the project "Pushkiniana" attended by more than 50 schools from Baku and the ten regions of the country.
