June 4 at 9 am on the signing of a cooperation agreement between the capital of Eastern Siberia and the edge of Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic). Document was signed by the mayor of Irkutsk Victor Kondrashov and Hetman Karlovy Vary Region Josef Novotny. Karlovy Vary has become the twelfth sister Irkutsk. – We are very pleased that we were able to develop relationships with your city, because in our areas have much in common: we – the world-famous mineral water springs, you have – a natural wonder of the planetary scale – Lake Baikal – said Josef Novotny at the end of the protocol part event. And wished to Irkutsk, as in Rome, all roads led. It is noteworthy that the document was signed in the complex of the House of Europe "- a renovated historic corner of Irkutsk. Of course, 350 years ago our city was not such a "modernized", but representatives of practically hand, as well as delegations from other twin cities, who came on holiday, have a visual representation of the ancient architecture of the regional center.
