Syrian security forces opened fire on demonstrators demanding the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad, in several cities across the country, reports Al-Jazeera. To the east in the town of Deir al-Zaur way was disbanded ten thousandth demonstration. Ten people were wounded, more than 40 – were detained. In the city of Hama (West Syrian) police and military shot and killed at least ten protesters, about two hundred wounded. The number of protesters in Hama was approximately 50 thousand people. Anti-government demonstrations were held in other locations across the country including the capital – Damascus and the city of Dara, which began with the Syrian revolt. Almost all the cities, where on Friday held protest rallies, they started after the traditional communal prayer, when people were leaving the mosque immediately to the demonstrations. The uprising in Syria has been going on for several months. First, people are demanding a better social standards, and democratization of the political system. However, when the government has used force against demonstrators, residents began to demand the resignation of its president – Bashar al-Assad. During the collision the number of deaths of demonstrators have already exceeded one thousand.
