The Kurgan group was established in early 1990 in the Kurgan region. Soon, the criminals fled to Moscow. We had a few gang leaders, the most famous of which – killer Alexander Solonik named Sasha Macedonia (in 1997 was killed by a member of the group Orekhovsky Alexander Pustovalov named Sasha Soldat). First Kurgan gang performed contract killings for other groups rovok and, later, the gang members started to kill the leaders of other factions and take control of commercial structures. In the early 2000's Kurgan OPG has moved to the Pushkin area suburbs and continued criminal activity. In 2008, a gang came into conflict with Kazakov, the standoff ended with his assassination.
