Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin this week noted that in Russia there is a reduction of budget deficit from year to year. "This year's budget deficit will be 1.5% of GDP or even less," – he stressed. At the same time, in late June, he even expressed the hope that Russia will complete this year without a deficit. In early July, the Prime Minister noted that "in fact, the deficit will be about 1% of GDP." According to the law on the budget deficit in 2011 is projected at 1.3% of GDP. In turn, Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said in late July, predicted that the federal budget deficit in 2011 will be about 1% of GDP. "As long as we maintain our forecast of a budget deficit – more than 1%", – Kudrin said. He noted that traditionally, most of the costs, which can lead to higher budget deficits, it is necessary for the second half.
