Recall, July 11 explosion of confiscated ammunition at a military base near Limassol has killed 13 people and destroyed the largest power plant on the island, causing severe economic consequences. PE has also led to the collapse of the ruling coalition of communists and centrists. As RIA "Novosti", on the eve of about 50 Cypriots protest marched 67 kilometers from the naval base not far from Limassol to the capital Nicosia. At the demonstrators wore black shirts with the inscription "13" on the number of victims, and the head of the column carried a banner with the names of the dead. On the square in front of the presidential palace in Nicosia, the marchers were met with applause, hundreds of people. There was a memorial service and then to the audience were the widow of the deceased at the head of the Navy bombing of Cyprus and the mother of two other victims of seafarers. The protesters demanded the resignation of the president again and punish those responsible for the explosion. Christofias said earlier that elected by popular vote, and therefore, is not going to resign. The president, who heads the government under the Constitution, demanded the resignation of all cabinet ministers and is currently engaged in negotiations on the new appointments.
