World Bank offers food for thought – about that of ordinary food in the world is running out. Maize in the granaries of the world only 13% percent of normal. It is the worst situation for nearly half a century. But this grass – one of the key to Africa where the food crisis has already become a sad reality. Recent figures from the World Bank have hinted that some convoys not solve the problem. Maize, maize per year becoming more expensive in poor African countries, one hundred percent and more. In Somalia, where drought is raging, the situation is a stalemate. Specific solutions experts, alas, do not offer. And they give only a vague recommendation to use a "short-term and long-term measures." In addition, it is proposed to divide the country clearly in need and quite prosperous. In the second camp, obviously, comes China, where inflation against the backdrop of rapid economic growth still is not a tragedy. A World Bank report for the first time in a long time and heard the positive notes. Russia has resumed the export of grain, Ukraine abolished the quota, so this season there are objective reasons for lowering prices. But while the food index is close to the record mark of 2008 and not far back from record highs of almost the beginning of 2011. When compared to last July, it turns out quite grim: 84 percent of corn, sugar 62%, wheat 55%. World Bank warns trend towards lower prices may be deceptive. Market volatility is high. And too weak economy of those countries that could be saved, increasing food imports.
