Food market: prices are rising, food for poor countries lacking

World Bank offers food for thought – about that of ordinary food in the world is running out. Maize in the granaries of the world only 13% percent of normal. Russia has resumed the export of grain, Ukraine abolished the quota, so this season there are objective reasons for lowering prices. But while the food index is close to the record mark of 2008 and not far back from record highs of almost the beginning of 2011. When compared to last July, it turns out quite grim: 84 percent of corn, sugar 62%, wheat 55%. World Bank warns trend towards lower prices may be deceptive. Market volatility is high. And too weak economy of those countries that could be saved, increasing food imports.
