The final meeting of Group E, which took place on Wednesday ended with the score 62:56 (28:15, 11:17, 17:6, 6:18) in favor of the Russian team. Team Russia on a par with teams in Sweden and Belgium scored 9 points, but at the expense of additional indicators, ranked third in the standings, which allowed her to leave the group. In the quarterfinals the Russian team will meet with the owners of the tournament – the Italians. The match will take place on August 19.
