According to the law "On Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan," Constitution Day is a public holiday. "The days are celebrated in the national and public holidays in Kazakhstan, the holidays are recognized in accordance with labor laws. Holidays in the ROK are days off. In case of coincidence holidays holiday is next working day after the holiday, "- reads Article 5 of the Act. In 2011, August 30 falls on a Tuesday, therefore, citizens of Kazakhstan will rest one day.
