An all-"Simpsons" channel may not be that far-fetched. While Fox 's parent company, News Corp. (NWSA_), did not go so far as to say a Simpsons TV station is in the works, Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey did say the series represents a unique opportunity that goes beyond syndication. Speaking at Goldman Sachs 'Communicopia Conference in New York, Carey said: "I wouldn ' t say we 're drawing up plans to have a" Simpsons "channel, but, you know, there are a lot of ' Simpsons ' fans out there. "Regardless, syndication deals would prevent News Corp. from moving forward with any opportunity for at least a year. Carey first alluded to the potential for a "Simpsons" channel earlier in the week at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Media conference.
