Today at 2pm in New York City one of the countries most prolific business figures, Donald Trump, will play host to Mitt Romney who was widely considered a leading candidate for the 2012 GOP nomination until Herman Cain stole the show last week. While Romeny and Trump have had their differences in the past there is an underlying similarity that the general public should take notice of. This similarity also exists in the new GOP darling Cain, and that is entrepreneurial success! If you view the DNC ad posted recently, www.youtube.com / watch? v = AoAv4BoOegM & feature = player_embedded, (which I just saw Trump laugh off on Fox News), and watch with an open mind, you actually see that Romney and Trump are both very successful businessmen who have created jobs, accumulated wealth and sustained large companies, and even a state, in leading people through good and bad. What I find in many DNC ads, statements, articles, and postings is resentment towards those who experience success. This ad highlights that fact and does exactly the opposite of what they have intended if you can view it with an open mind. Is it not the American Dream to work hard and prosper, roll up your sleeves and get dirty to create your own success just the way people like Cain and Trump have? In todays political climate and sad economic state the public should be able to view people like Trump, Cain and Romney as all that is right with America. Only in America could someone grow with a father working three jobs, mother working, serve his country in the military, beat cancer and become the CEO of a major pizza chain, thus experiencing the utmost of the American Dream.
