Kenyan Edna Kiplagat won the gold medal in the marathon at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow. Kiplagat was the first track and field championship medalist, began in Moscow on August 10. In the women’s 10,000 meters gold medalist in the men was the British Mo Farah.
