Two groups established by the Ministry of Health have launched large-scale studies of vaccines against cervical cancer if they are directly linked to the intense pain that hit some young women. The two groups collect data through clinical trials in 17 hospitals across the country. The group led by Prof. Shuichi Ikeda Shinshu University extend their studies and neuronal brain areas, while the other, led by professor of Aichi Medical University Takahiro Ushida, find ways to relieve pain by cognitive-behavioral therapy, and to study the causes.
