Germany joins international efforts to destroy stockpiles of chemical weapons in Syria, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Defence announced. The decision is in response to a request for assistance from the United Nations and the OPCW, coordinators plan of destruction. The ministers said that the waste from destroyed weapons would be burned in a government center of the city of Münster, in line with environmental regulations.
