Australian astronomers have discovered the oldest stars in the universe. Age at about 13.6 billion years. It was formed after a few million years after the Big Bang, which served as the beginning of the expansion of the universe. Age of earlier stars, claiming the title of the oldest, not to exceed 13.2 billion years.
