US tech main Microsoft has been granted a license to export software program to China’s Huawei. The latter was added to the US ‘Entity Record’ in Could, making it unlawful for American firms to do enterprise with Huawei and not using a license.
This week a short lived common license was prolonged for an additional 90 days, permitting US carriers to proceed to do enterprise with the corporate.
“On November 20th, the US Division of Commerce granted Microsoft’s request for a license to export mass-market software program to Huawei,” a Microsoft spokesperson informed Bloomberg. “We recognize the division’s motion in response to our request.”

Two different reprieves have been granted by the division to Huawei in Could and August.
“The non permanent common license extension will permit carriers to proceed to service prospects in among the most distant areas of the US who would in any other case be left at nighttime,” US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross stated this week.
