Ukrainian International Minister Vadym Prystaiko has confirmed the quantity and nation of origin of all passengers and crew on board the Ukrainian Worldwide Airways Boeing 737-800 which crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran.
All 176 individuals on board have been killed after the airplane’s engine reportedly caught hearth.
“Horrible information in regards to the airplane crash in Tehran. My honest condolences to the households of the lifeless,” Prystaiko mentioned in statements posted to Twitter, including that “Ukrainian authorities proceed to research.”
The minister revealed that amongst these killed in Wednesday’s crash have been: 82 Iranians, 11 Ukrainians, 63 Canadians, 4 Afghans, three Germans, three British nationals and 10 Swedes.
Iranian state TV is reporting that 32 of the passengers on board have been foreigners; lots of these killed held twin citizenship.
