‘Disgusting piece of sh*t’: UFC’s Costa vows to ‘kill’ middleweight champ Israel Adesanya over ‘crumple like Twin Towers’ remark

The feud between UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya and division rival Paulo Costa took an excellent nastier flip after Costa branded the New Zealand fighter a “soiled Kiwi” over feedback he made concerning the Twin Towers.

Middleweight ruler Adesanya is because of defend his title towards Cuban-born Yoel Romero at UFC 248 in Las Vegas on March 7, and forward of that has been conducting media duties.

One such look in New Zealand on Friday – forward of the UFC’s present in Auckland the next day – brought on controversy when Adesanya referenced the Twin Towers in outlining what he would do to the 42-year-old Romero after they meet.   

“He’s a man nobody desires to struggle. Boogeyman, everybody retains saying – even Darren Until – ‘I’ll struggle anybody besides Yoel,’” mentioned Adesanya. 

“Why? I’ve seen him get rocked. I’ve seen him get stopped. I’ve seen him get bloodied. I’ve seen him cry. I’ll make him cry.

“He’s human like anybody else, and everybody likes to make this delusion about, ‘Oh, he’s metal, like kicking metal,’ otherwise you hit him and he doesn’t fall.

“I’ll contact him sufficient instances. I’ll contact him sufficient instances and ultimately he’ll crumble just like the Twin Towers.”

Unbeaten Brazilian fighter Costa – who’s 5-Zero within the UFC – took exception to these feedback, writing on Twitter: “You’re a disgusting piece of sh*t.

Some followers supported Costa’s response, calling out Adesanya for the remarks.

Others, nonetheless, felt Costa has overreacted and was himself responsible of racist remarks by branding Adesanya a “soiled Kiwi.”

The 28-year-old Costa – nicknamed ‘Borrachinha’ – defeated the veteran Romero by way of unanimous choice again in August.

The unbeaten Adesanya – who’s 18-Zero general and 7-Zero within the UFC – in the meantime will put his undisputed middleweight title on the road for the primary time when he meets Romero, after his knockout win over Robert Whittaker in October.  

Past Romero, a grudge match with Costa might properly be brewing.
