Dozens of first responders are working to place out a hearth following a Union Pacific prepare derailment close to Tempe, Arizona. The bridge it was touring on has partially collapsed, however no accidents have been reported.
Video and photographs from the scene present huge quantities of smoke billowing from the location of the crash. Native officers say the smoke cloud is so obtrusive that it has prompted site visitors in close by areas to be rerouted. Police are warning folks to keep away from the realm.

An eyewitness described the crash, which she turned to see after smoke disrupted her bike trip, as “a scene from hell” in feedback to native media.

The broken bridge sits over Tempe City Lake and close to Tempe Seashore Park, and the crash is believed to have occurred round 6am on Wednesday. The reason for the derailment is unknown, and native media are reporting that the prepare was carrying lumber. A tanker automobile that fell off the bridge now sits with different particles within the water. The crash is being described as second-alarm hazardous till first responders can decide whether or not or not any hazardous supplies have been being transported on board. All of Tempe City Lake is closed briefly as a precaution.
