Heroic 6-year-old Bridger Walker, who required 90 stitches to his cheek after being bitten within the face when defending his little sister from an onrushing canine, has been named ‘honorary world champion’ by the World Boxing Council.
The WBC, which depend heavyweight Tyson Fury amongst their champions, mentioned they had been honoring the teen for his actions of bravery that “symbolize the most effective values of humanity.”
An image of Bridger’s swollen, scarred face hugging his proud sister went viral when his aunt Nicole Walker posted to Instagram telling of the horrific incident a canine charged on the pair as they had been out enjoying of their native Wyoming.

“On July ninth, my six yr previous nephew Bridger saved his little sister’s life by standing between her and a charging canine,” the boy’s aunt wrote in an Instagram publish that has acquired over 1,000,000 likes.
“After getting bit a number of occasions on the face and head, he grabbed his sister’s hand and ran together with her to maintain her secure.”
The canine clamped its jaws across the left facet of Bridger’s face, slicing open his cheek and leaving him needing a two-hour surgical procedure and 90 stitches to shut the wound.
