A suspected terrorist assault towards a serious gasoline pipeline in Damascus countryside has led to widespread energy outages all throughout Syria, in response to the nation’s electrical energy and vitality ministries.
The blast “could have been brought on by a terrorist act” and “led to energy cuts in all of Syria,” SANA reported, citing the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Assets.
Whereas there have been no studies of accidents within the blast, a number of pictures and movies have circulated on social media purporting to point out a large blaze that engulfed the crippled pipeline.

The explosion broken a stretch of the Arab Fuel Pipeline between the cities of Al-Dumayr and Adra in Damascus governorate, resulting in a strain drop and cascading shutdowns of the nation’s energy stations, in response to Syria’s Electrical energy Minister, Mohammad Zuhair Kharboutli.
That is the sixth time that stretch of the gasoline pipeline has been hit by an explosion over the course of the Syrian battle, the minister added, refusing to invest about doable causes of the newest blast.
The incident happened in the course of the evening and it was not instantly clear which areas of Syria have been affected and to what extent. The electrical energy and vitality ministries are working collectively, and hope to steadily restore energy inside “a number of hours.”
