Israel strikes Syrian navy targets close to Damascus, IDF calls it ‘response’ to failed border assault
Israeli jets bombed a number of Syrian navy websites south of Damascus late on Monday, the IDF has confirmed, saying that the assault had been launched in response to the tried planting of a bomb within the Golan Heights.
The airstrike happened within the countryside southwest of Damascus, SANA information company reported, describing explosions being heard within the metropolis.
The Israel Protection Forces (IDF) then stated in a press release the assault was a response to an tried provocation on the Syrian-Israeli border, focusing on a fence within the occupied Golan Heights.
