The troops captured the rebel chief oil port of Ras Lanuf Libya

The rapid advance in Ras Lanuf, where one of the largest refineries and oil terminal, began after the militia managed to capture al-Ukaylu 80 kilometers to the east. Now anti-government formation are very close to Ben-Jawad and plan to soon begin its assault. If the rebels succeed in taking control of this town, they will pass about 200 kilometers to the Sirte – hometown and the central plank of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
