Water Week in the past years has established itself as an annual forum for discussion and exchange of experience on the most pressing issues related to vodymi resources. This year, the meeting participants asked to pay particular attention to issues of governance, security and access to quality water in the context of rapid global urbanization and growing urban infrastructure. Explaining the relevance of the topic, experts Stockholm International Water Institute, in particular, wrote that "it is estimated that by 2050 the urban population may grow to a size equal to the population of the planet today."
