Joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed on Monday in the capital of southern Sudan Juba. On the Russian side document was signed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uganda, Sergei Shishkin. "Expressing satisfaction with the agreements reached in Moscow reaffirms commitment to the development of this new state of relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation for the benefit of both peoples, as well as for peace and security on the African continent and the world as a whole", – said in a statement the Russian Foreign department.
