74020131 Russian skier won the World Cup
Russian Ilya Chernousov skier won the race by 20 kilometers (duathlon) on the World Cup, launched on February 4 in the Russian city of Rybinsk. Chernousov overcame the distance in 48 minutes, 54.2 seconds ahead at the finish of Frenchman Jean-Marc Gaillard of four tenths of a second, the official website of the International Federation of ski sport (FIS). Third place went to another Frenchman Maurice Manifika. He fell behind Chernousova three seconds. For 24-year old Russian, this victory was the first at the World Cup in individual races. Furthermore Chernousova of Russians in the top ten hit Alexander Legkov, who took seventh place. Note that the World Cup in Rybinsk miss some of the leading skiers of the world, in particular, the leaders of the world Cup Dario Cologna, Petter Northug and Lukas Bauer. Earlier on February 4 in Rybinsk took the women's race at ten miles. Won Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland, ranked second Italian Marianna Longa, the third – Finn Aino-Kaisa Saarinen. The best of the Russians became Valentine Novikov, took sixth place.
