"The criminal case was filed under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud), which provides up to ten years imprisonment. According to the investigation, in 2003 the Volgograd Region Administration signed a contract with a Moscow construction companies to attract investment to complete the construction of the bridge over the River Volga. "Misled by administration officials, the firm allegedly attracted investments for the construction of the bridge and submitted bogus contract for the performance of services. With a view to stealing money to the agent were transferred funds from the federal budget of 15 million rubles, "- said in a statement.
