Lyuminografiya or frizlayt (English freeze light – «frozen light) – is a technique pictures, in which images are created by the moving light, taken on long exposure. A dozen of the images presented in the exhibit created specifically for her based on the movie "Solaris". "We use a photo as the image capturing technology, but create work by hand, use a flashlight like a brush, and light as oil, such as paint. We were offered to the film festival to do the work on creation of Tarkovsky, we have chosen the "Solaris", because this movie – a rich ground for understanding human relationships and the scope for creativity, "- Palchenkov told RIA Novosti. Artem Dolgopolov added that "Solaris" particularly liked it the way it shows the inner world of characters. "We tried to help the world inside out, these psychological components," – he explained. Most of the works created with artificial light sources – in particular, LED flashlights, but there are pictures where photographers have used a wax candle. At the exhibition there are others of their work – in particular, a project created in collaboration with the Hermitage. In it the authors using light and camera to recreate the images of famous paintings by French impressionists. Dolgopolov and Palchenkov also will give free master classes in the evening June 9 and 10 in the Ivanovo Art Museum. "Do not be surprised if, after master classes around the city of Ivanovo people will walk and swing erratically in the air lanterns – it will frizlaytery" – said at the opening ceremony Dolgopolov. Film "The Mirror" will be held on May 29. In his contest – nine paintings, taken in Germany, Hungary, China, Netherlands, Chile, Korea, USA and other countries. The painting "Surviving Life (Theory and Practice)" (Surviving Life) Jan Cech Švankmajer (Jan Svankmajer) will be shown out of competition in the international official program. The festival will also feature a program of the new Russian movie "own", a panorama of documentaries "The Birth of Art" program of foreign and Russian animation, video art, short films, favorite bands of the Tarkovsky. Andrei Tarkovsky was born on April 4, 1932 in the town Yuryevets 170 kilometers from the city of Ivanovo. Among his most famous works – "The Mirror", "Nostalgia," "Stalker," "Sacrifice", "Andrei Rublev", "Solaris". The festival is held annually in his name at home director in the Ivanovo region since 2007, movies going in six cities in the region.
